However, that doesn’t stop us from being concerned. A lot of cop dramas don’t put that line in, making it all about the job, and that’s where The Rookie is differing in a good way. I love that we see Grey tell Nolan that family comes first. Grey turning up at the hospital to support him.
One thing we’ll get to see is all of Nolan’s colleagues and even Sgt. Nolan will get his son to the hospital, but Henry isn’t out of the woods yet.
During the previous episode, he collapsed at the very end and it looks like it’s something to do with his heart. She's the most stable love interest he's had throughout all four seasons and it's hard to imagine them breaking up. Her job as a firefighter and past in the army reserve makes her heavy presence in the show organic and believable.įirst responders work together more often than not, and Nolan and Bailey are able to interact both on and off the clock. Her storyline is often independent of Nolan, and she seamlessly fits into the narrative. Bailey isn't reduced to the main character's love interest - she just happens to be in a relationship with him. Not only is Bailey Nolan's best love interest, but she's also exactly what fans needed in The Rookie season 4.
